MANILA, Philippines- Kinondena ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) ang ulat ng umano’y fare overcharging ng public transport operators, partikular ang motorcycle taxis.
Inihayag ni LTFRB chair Teofilo Guadiz III nitong Miyerkules na hindi palalampasin ang paglabag sa public transportation system.
“The fare matrix was crafted to ensure that the fares charged by all public transport operators from commuters regardless of vehicle type are fair and equitable,” ani Guadiz, na pinuno rin ng Motorcycle Taxi – Technical Working Group.
Ang MC-TWG ay isang authorized body na may hurisdiksyon sa MC taxis.
Ipatatawag ni Guadiz ang technical working group upang imbestigahan ang mga alegasyon.
“We reiterate that this practice of overcharging has no place in our public transportation system. We will not allow it,” giit ni Guadiz. RNT/SA
