MANILA, Philippines- Hindi nakumbinsi ng Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) ang Sandiganbayan na baligtarin ang pagbasura sa ill-gotten wealth case laban sa pamilya Marcos at kanilang “cronies.”
Naghain ang PCGG ng motion for reconsideration noong July 18, na nagtutulak na muling suriin ang desisyon noong Hunyo 27.
Sa six-page ruling na may petsang August 8, sinabi ng Sandiganbayan 2nd Division na ang mga argumento ng PCGG sa apela nito ay “rehash” ng mga isyung natalakay at naresolba na sa desisyon nito sa kaso.
“As plaintiff-movant has not raised any argument to convince this court that its ruling is erroneous or contrary to the law or evidence, the motion for reconsideration must be denied for lack of merit,” anang korte.
Matatandaang ibinasura ng korte ang Civil Case No. 0014, na naglalayong bawiin ang mga ari-arian ng umano’y Marcos cronies, na kinilalang sina Modesto Enriquez, Trinidad Diaz-Enriquez, Rebecco Panlilio, Erlinda Enriquez-Panlilio, Leandro Enriquez, Don Ferry, Roman Cruz Jr., at Gregorio Castillo.
Inihain ang kaso noong 1987.
Batay sa June decision ngSandiganbayan, hindi napatunayan ng prosekusyon na mayroong sapat na ebidensya upang patunayan na ang mga kinukwestiyong ari-arian ay ill-gotten.
Kabilang sa mga ito ang Ternate Development Corp., Monte Sol Development Corporation, Olas del Mar Development Corporation, Fantasia Filipina Resort, Inc., Sulo Dobbs, Inc., Philippine Village, Inc., Silahis International Hotel, Inc., Hotel Properties, Inc., Puerto Azul Beach and Country Club, at Philroad Construction Corporation.
