MANILA, Philippines – NAIINTINDIHAN ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang naging desisyon ni Vice President Sara Duterte na kumalaas at magbitiw bilang miyembro ng Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) party.
Magkagayon man, sinabi ng Pangulo na hindi dapat magambala o magulo si Duterte mula sa mas mahahalagang tungkulin nito.
Tinuran ni Pangulong Marcos na dapat na ituon ni Duterte ang kanyang pansin na tuparin ang kanyang mga responsibilidad bilang Kalihim ng Department of Education at co-vice chairperson ng National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict at iwasan ang political entanglements.
“Si Inday Sara is very plain-spoken. Kung ano ang sinabi niya ‘yun ang ibig sabihin niya. She has too much work to do and cannot be involved in any of this. She cannot allow herself to be distracted. That’s the way I read it,”sinabi ng Pangulo.
“It’s true because kung titignan mo kung ano yung mga hinaharap niya talagang marami talaga at hindi puwede be involved in whatever it is that is going on… I can understand why. Sasabihin niya, ‘Ayusin muna ninyo yan. Gagawin ko muna itong mga importanteng kailangan kong tapusin,” dagdag na wika nito.
Mismong si Duterte ang nag-anunsyo na bumitiwa na siya bilang miyembro ng Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) party.
“This is to announce my irrevocable resignation as a Lakas-CMD member effective today. I am grateful to all the party members for the support that also once demonstrated that unity is possible to advance our shared dreams for our fellow Filipinos and our beloved country,” saad niya sa Facebook post.
Si Duterte ay nagsilbing chairperson ng partido kasama si House Speaker Martin Romualdez bilang Lakas-CMD president.
Bagama’t hindi tinukoy kung ano ang dahilan ng kanyang pagbibitiw, sinabi nito na ang kanyang serbisyo sa bansa ay ayaw niyang maapektuhan ng laro sa politika.
“I am here today because of the trust of the Filipino people in me to lead and serve them and the country, and this cannot be poisoned by political toxicity or undermined by execrable political power play,” ani Duterte.
Nananatili rin umanong maglilingkod si Duterte sa mga Filipino.
“Nothing is more important to me than being able to meaningfully serve our fellow Filipinos and the Philippines, with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. leading the way. Trust that my word, my commitment will be immutable,” aniya. Kris Jose
