MANILA, Philippines- Nakatakdang makipagpulong si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa mga negosyante na hangad na palawigin ang operasyon sa Pilipinas.
Magaganap ito sa sidelines ng 43rd ASEAN Summit, kabilang na ang mga kompanya na makapagbibigay sa Pilipinas ng avian influenza vaccine.
“The President will also be attending events specifically to pitch trade and investment in Indonesia – one of them will be a meeting with the ASEAN Business Advisory Council and another one with certain businesses who intend to expand their presence in the Philippines,” ayon kay Foreign Affairs Assistant Secretary for ASEAN Affairs Daniel Espiritu sa press briefing sa Malakanyang, araw ng Huwebes.
“And in fact, among the companies that who will be there would be the WIR Asia who intends to expand one of its subsidiaries already existing in the Philippines to the tune of one billion pesos or 20 million dollars in fresh infusion to expand innovations in metaverse and artificial intelligence applications,” dagdag na wika nito.
Sa katunayan, binanggit din ni Espiritu ang Darya-Varia Laboratoria at Vaksindo Satwa Nusantara, na ayon sa kanya ay makapagbibigay sa Pilipinas ng avian influenza vaccines.
Ani Espiritu, ang kompanya ay mula sa Indonesia at kasalukuyang nasa proseso ng pag-develop ng bakuna.
Winika pa ni Espiritu na makikipagpulong din ang Punong Ehekutibo sa mga opisyal ng Pasifik Satelit Nusantara, na aniya’y lumagda na ng letter of intent noong September 2022 kasama ang Pillipinas.
“The firm will report to the President the progress of their project in Philippines and the launching of a satellite in December 2023,” ayon kay Espiritu.
“And then, they also plan to allocate 13.5 gigabytes per second of bandwidth for the Philippines,” dagdag na pahayag nito.
Samantala, nang tanungin kung babanggitin din ng Chief Executive ang Maharlika Investment Fund sa ASEAN Summit, sinabi ni Espiritu na, “There are business events being planned but wala namang sinabing exactly na Maharlika na pag-uusapan doon ‘no.” Kris Jose
