MANILA, Philippines – NANAWAGAN si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa mga tropa mula sa Presidential Security Group (PSG) na ipagpatuloy lamang ang kanilang mandato na pangalagaan ang bansa sa ilalim ng bagong liderato at suportahan ang bagong liderato nito.
Inihayag ng Pangulo ang kanyang panawagan sa isinagawang change of command ceremony kung saan nag-take over na si Brigadier General Jesus Nelson B. Morales bilang bagong PSG commander.
“I trust that you will fully support General Morales just as you did General Zagala with your hallmark integrity, service, and excellence. Together, let us continue to perform our duties to the best of our abilities,” ani Pangulong Marcos.
“Let us remain steadfast in safeguarding our country so that we can fulfill our sworn duty of providing a peaceful and secure life for every Filipino,” dagdag na wika nito.
Kumpiyansang inihayag naman ng Pangulo na ipagpapatuloy ni Morales na protektahan ang “presidency, ang First Family, at maging ang buong bansa sa ialim ng kanyang termino bilang PSG chief.
“I am confident with your training, your experience, and overall competence that the PSG will continue to fulfill its role of protecting this institution. I certainly look forward to working with you,” aniya pa rin.
Sa kabilang dako, pinasalamatan naman ng Pangulo si dating PSG commander Brigadier General Ramon Zagala para sa serbisyo nito at pagprotekta sa First Family.
Si Zagala ay commander na ngayon ng Armed Forces of the Philippines’ Civil Relations Service.
“You have also maintained and guarded the PSG’s distinction as one of the best protectors of the land, worthy to preserve the presidency as a stern and reliable institution,” ayon sa Punong Ehekutibo.
Samantala, masaya naman si Morales para sa kanyang bagong appointment, nangako naman ito na pangungunahan ang PSG na may propesyonalismo at dedikasyon.
“I am fully aware with the responsibility that comes with this role and I understand the gravity of my duty that requires unwavering commitment and with this, I pledge to lead this unit with utmost professionalism and dedication,” ayon kay Morales.
Nangako rin si Morales na paghuhusayin ang pagsasanay ng PSG troopers at isasama ang teknolohiya sa kanilang serbisyo.
“In this digital age, technology plays a critical role in security. We will endeavor for more technology in our training systems to enhance our capabilities,” ayon kay Morales.
Nangako rin si Morales na pananatilihin ang kultura ng kaayusan sa PSG, sabay sabing “any breaches of trust will be dealt with swiftly.”
Ang PSG ay pinagsama-samang elite unit na inatasan na magbigay ng seguridad at magsilbing escort sa Pangulo ng Pilipinas, immediate family ng Pangulo, mga dating Pangulo ng bansa at maging ng bumibisitang heads of state. Kris Jose
