MANILA, Philippines – Buo ang suporta ng Qatari government sa hakbang ng Pilipinas para mapabilis ang Bangsamoro peace process.
Ang pahayag na ito ay kasunod ng courtesy call ni Qatar Ambassador to the Philippines, Ahmed Saad Al-Homidi, kay Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU) Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr.
“At the meeting, Al-Homidi expressed the Qatari government’s full support to the Philippine government’s initiatives, particularly in the areas of education and health, as well as its interventions to push forward the Bangsamoro peace process,” ani OPAPRU sa Facebook post nitong Lunes, Hulyo 17.
Sa kaparehong pagbisita, sinabi ng diplomat na makikipagpulong sa mga opisyal ng Department of Health, Foreign Affairs, Finance, Education at National Economic Development Authority ng bansa ang delegasyon mula sa Qatar Fund for Development sa Hulyo 27.
Makikipagkita rin ang Qatari delegation sa ranking officials ng OPAPRU at Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
“The delegation will be briefed by OPAPRU on the Bangsamoro peace process, especially on the political and normalization tracks of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro,” dagdag ng OPAPRU.
Ani Galvez, pangungunahan ng OPAPRU ang pagpupulong sa pagitan ng visiting Qatari gorup at BARMM officials.
Ang Qatar ay aktibong miyembro ng Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
Nagpahayag din ito ng interes na suportahan ang Bangsamoro Development Assistance Fund, isa sa natitirang commitments sa ilalim ng 1996 final peace agreement sa pagitan ng Philippine government at Moro National Liberation Front. RNT/JGC
