MANILA, Philippines- Dumating na ang 83-man Philippine rescue team sa Istanbul, Turkey nitong Huwebes, ayon sa Office of Civil Defense (OCD).
Sinabi ni OCD Joint Information Center head Diego Agustin Mariano na kumapag ang eroplano ng alas-12:08 ng tanghali, Philippine time.
Inisyal na 87 ang miyembro ng Philippine contingent subalit nagkaroon ng isyu ang apat sa documentation.
“There were 87 original personnel given to [Defense Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr.], but two from the OCD did not join due to lack of travel documents and the latest two from the MMDA (Metropolitan Manila Development Authority) did not also join also because of lack of documents,” pahayag ni Mariano.
Kabilang sa 83-man team ang military at medical personnel kasama ang mga miyembro ng MMDA.
Umabot na ang mga nasawi dahil sa magnitude 7.8 na lindol sa Turkey at Syria sa mahigit 15,000 indibidwal. RNT/SA
