PNP Region 1, naghahanda na sa hampas ni “Betty”

Region I- Nasa maximum security preparation ngayon ang Police Regional Office 1 bilang paghahanda sa pagdating ng bagyong si “Betty”.

Sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni PBGen. John C. Chua, ang PRO 1 ay bumuo ng Disaster Incident Management Task Group (DIMTG) na tutulong sa mga possible disaster response operations at magpa-facilitate ng comprehensive coordination efforts sa mga iba pang ahensiya before, during, and after the entry of the tropical cyclone in the Area of Responsibility.

Nagsagawa na rin ang PRO 1 ng Pre-Deployment and Show-down Inspection sa mga Search and Rescue Equipment sa mga Police Provincial Offices para siguraduhing handang-handa ang mga SAR equipment nila sakaling kailanganin.

Pinayuhan din ni Chua ang lahat ng mga station commanders sa Region 1 na makipagtulungan sa mga local disaster risk reduction management councils (DRRMCs).

Naka-standby na rin ang Reserved Reactionary Standby Support Force (RRSSF) and Search and Rescue Teams para sa gagawing pagtulong kung sakaling magkakaroon ng evacuation at search and rescue operations.

Panawagan ni Chua sa lahat mga residente na maging alerto lagi at huwag kalimutang maghanda ng emergency kits sa kanilang mga bahay.

“PRO 1 remains resolute in intensifying our disaster preparedness and response operations to safeguard the lives and properties in anticipation of the typhoon. While we are exerting our efforts preparing, let us pray for the safety of everyone and for our country to be spared from the onslaught of this typhoon,” wika ni PBGem. Chua. Rolando S. Gamoso
