Prangkisa ng Cebu Pacific pinakakansela ng solon sa sunod-sunod na kapalpakan

MANILA, Philippines – Hinimok ni Cagayan de Oro Rep Rufus Rodriguez ang House Committee in Legislative Franchises at House Committee on Transportation na dinggin ang kanyang inihaing House Resolution na humihiling na suspendihin ang legislative franchise ng Cebu Pacific.

Ang apela ni Rodriguez ay kasunod na rin ng mga reklamo na patuloy nitong natatanggap ukol sa hindi magandang serbisyo ng Cebu Pacific.

“I filed Resolution No. 1101 last June 26 in view of such complaints. It has been more than two months and no public hearing has been held. So I am appealing to the committee on legislative franchises and the committee on transportation to already set the resolution for hearing,” pahayag ni Rodriguez.

“This is a matter of urgent public concern because of tens of thousands of passengers affected. We should address it ASAP or people might suspect that something is amiss, something is not right,” dagdag pa nito.

Ani Rodriguez ilan sa kanyang natatanggap na reklamo sa hindi maayos na serbisyo ng airline company ay mula sa mga House members, governors, public officials, businessmen, private citizens at mmula sa mga residente ng Cagayan de Oro City.

“Except for some cosmetic changes, Cebu Pacific’s service has not really improved. Its franchise to operate should be suspended until they shape up to the satisfaction of the riding public,” babala pa ni Rodriguez.

Sinabi ni Rodriguez na kinokomenda nito ang Cebu Pacific sa ginawa nitong pagbabago sa kanilang travel fund/travel wallet policies na wala nang expiration subalit ang isa pa sa dapat na tugunan ng kumpanya ay flight cancellations at delay.

“I welcome the changes to travel fund and voucher policies such as no expiration of travel funds and longer travel voucher validity. But I’d like Cebu Pacific to report to the public on the frequency of its flight cancellations, if there are lesser passengers being bumped off due to overbooking, if there are fewer delays in flight departures,” paliwanag nito.

Isa pa sa dapat tugunan ng Cebu Pacific ay pagdagdag ng customer service personnel na tatanggap ng mga reklamo gayundin ay baguhin ang polisiya na ang 20 kilo luggage ay dapat isang bagahe lamang.

“They should also explain and justify their idiotic policies on accompanying and checked-in luggage. If a passenger buys a 20-kilo luggage, the luggage should only be one. This has forced passengers at the airport to tie 2 pieces of luggage into one”, pagtatapos pa ni Rodriguez. Gail Mendoza
