MANILA, Philippines- Tinanggal sa pwesto ang pulis na responsable sa pagpapatigil ng daloy ng trapiko sa kahabaan ng Commonwealth corner Tandang Sora Avenue upang padaanin umano ang convoy ni Vice President Sara Duterte, ayon sa Quezon City Police District (QCPD).
Inihayag ito ng QCPD kasabay ng paghingi ng paumanhin matapos mag-viral ang video ng police officer na kinilalang si Sergeant Pantallano sa social media nitong Huwebes ng hapon.
“We would like to apologize for the inconvenience we have brought to the motoring public due to the stopping of the traffic flow along Commonwealth westbound,” anang QCPD.
“That the said incident stemmed from a confusion and lapse in judgment of our policeman (Pantallano) manning the traffic during that time,” dagdag nito.
Ayon sa QCPD, nag- “overreact” umano si Pantallano at pinatigil ang daloy ng trapiko “as a sign of courtesy and security” nang magkamali siya ng rinig sa salitang “VP” at inakalang si Vice President Sara Duterte ang daraan sa lugar.
Subalit, wala pala roon si Duterte.
Nasa Agusan del Norte ang bise presidente mula Miyerkules. Dumalo siya sa 122nd Police Service Anniversary ng Philippine National Police Regional Office 13 at sa World Teachers’ Day Celebration nitong Huwebes.
“Ako po ay humihingi ng paumanhin sa aking maling nagawa. Patawarin nyo po ako, at akala ko po talaga may dadaan na VIP,” ani Pantallano ayon sa pahayag ng QCPD.
“I have ordered the relief of my policeman and put him under investigation to determine administrative liability for his actions. We assure the public that this incident will not happen again,” wika naman ni Holy Spirit Police Station commander Lt. Col. May Genio. RNT/SA
