MANILA, Philippines- Ipinag-utos ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang rasyonalisasyon sa lahat ng livelihood programs ng national government.
Ito ang isiniwalat ni Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah Pangandaman sa kamakailan lamang na pagdinig ng House Committee on Appropriations ukol sa P5.768-trillion National Expenditure Program (NEP) o panukalang national budget para sa 2024.
“The President actually instructed us to rationalize all the livelihood projects and programs under the national government,” ayon kay Pangandaman sa mga mambabatas.
“Because when he [Marcos] reviewed the NEP, the President’s budget, he thought that there’s a lot of agencies who provide livelihood programs separately,” sabi ng Kalihim.
Ibinahagi ni Pangandaman sa mga mambataas na magsasagawa ang DBM ng masusing pag-aaral sa bagay na ito ngayong taon, na may ‘potential rationalization’ na isasagawa sa 2025.
“We will start our study this year and by 2025 maybe we’ll just concentrate the livelihood projects and at the same time focus on those who really needs the program,” aniya.
Samantala, ang budget para sa individual livelihood programs ng iba’t ibang departmento ng gobyerno ay maaaring pag-usapan sa isinagawang ‘respective briefings’ ng appropriations panel sa mga departamento.
