MANILA, Philippines – Balik personal na ang lahat ng uri ng pagpupulong sa Senado kabilang ang sesyon, deliberasyon sa komite at iba pang gawain ng lehislasyon simula sa Agosto 7, base sa proklamasyon ng apg-aalis ng public health emergency sa buong bansa, ayon kay Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri.
“In view of the Presidential Proclamation lifting the state of public health emergency due to COVID-19 and considering all activities have all returned in pre-pandemic levels, the Senate will no longer conduct hybrid hearings beginning Monday, August 7, 2023, and revert back to conducting hearings physically,” ayon kay Zubiri sa plenary session.
Sinabi pa ni Zubiri na alinsunod din ang kautusan sa ipinatutupad na patakaran sa House of Representatives, sa pagkakansela ng hybrid sessions at pagdinig.
“In line with this, we will go back to having face-to-face public hearings, unless there is a force majeure or emergency and majority members decide that we conduct remote or electronic means [in conducting hearings], in accordance with Section 22 of the Senate rules,” dagdag ni Zubiri.
Kamakailan, inalis ng Palasyo ang state of public health emergency sanhi ng COVID-19 nitong July 22.
