MANILA, Philippines – Dapat na paunlarin pa ang turismo at imprastruktura sa Pag-asa Island.
Ito ang sinabi ni Ako Bicol partylist representative at House Appropriations chair Elizaldy Co, kung saan dapat umanong paunlarin pa ang isla sa Kalayaan group of Islands malapit sa West Philippine Sea.
“Investing in its infrastructure and promoting it as a tourism hotspot is not just a vision but a commitment,” saad sa pahayag ni Co nitong Sabado, Oktubre 7.
Si Co, kasama ang ibang opisyal ng Kamara, at si Speaker Martin Romualdez, ay bumisita sa isla nitong Huwebes.
Sinabi ni Romualdez na maglalaan ang Kamara ng P3 bilyon para sa “airport reclamation extension, which coincides with the naval port and fishing sanctuary.”
“Together, we aim to transform this vision into a reality, strengthening our nation’s footprint both in terms of sovereignty and economic prosperity,” dagdag naman ni Co. RNT/JGC
