MANILA, Philippines – Pinasinungalingan ng Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) ang pinakahuling report ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) sa umano’y humihinang pwersa at bilang ng mga miyembro ng New People’s Army rebels.
“The AFP keeps on saying that the NPA is diminishing, but they can’t wipe them out,” pahayag ni Marco Valbuena, tagapagsalita ng CPP.
“They have a gunpowder mindset. The AFP thinks they can eliminate the NPA solely through their bombs and cannons, and by killing and intimidating the masses,” dagdag pa niya.
Sinabi rin niya na bagamat ang mga rebelde ay “still capable of mounting terror actions, we could see that generally, they could not conduct tactical offensives.”
Kasabay nito, sinupalpal ni Aguilar ang kasalukuyang tungkulin ng CPP Central Committee, sa pagsasabing “it has no control,” “weak and disorganized” at “no longer has leadership.”
“The CPP is not just one or a few people. As the CPP stated its task goes beyond the lifetime of any one person, and way beyond the capacity of a few people to perform,” giit ni Valbuena. RNT/JGC
