Nagsampa ng kasong kriminal ang Kapisanan ng Social Media Broadcasters ng Pilipinas, Inc. (KSMBPI) laban sa It’s Showtime hosts at real-life couple na sina Vice Ganda at Ion Perez, base sa ulat ng PEP.
Dagdag pa sa ulat na isang Atty. Leo Olarte, kasama ang ilang miyembro ng KSMBPI, ay nagsumite ng kanilang mga reklamo sa Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office na may kinalaman sa paglabag sa Article 201 ng Revised Penal Code, na may kaugnayan sa Section 6 ng Article 201 at Republic Act No.10175, o Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
Ang reklamo ay nag-ugat sa viral cake-icing-eating incident sa pagitan nina Vice at Ion sa segment ng noontime program na Isip Bata.
“Nowadays, there have been countless proliferation of immoral, indecent, lewd, and vulgar shows, clips, TikTok, Vlogs etc. that are being streamed on social media and sometimes in the traditional media,” ani Olarte.
“The worst part of it all is that these are unregulated and are accessible by any person including the youth, children, and even minors who are tech-savvy on various social media platforms. Just by the click of a finger, all these malevolent presentations are made easily available even on mere cellphones already,” dagdag pa niya.
Matatandaang nauna nang nagdesisyon ang MTRCB na suspendihin ng 12 araw ang It’s Showtime! pero mayroon pang 15 araw ang mga ito para umapela. RNT
