MANILA, Philippines – SIMULA ngayong araw ng Miyerkoles, Nobyembre 15 ay matatanggap na ng mga kuwalipikadong empleyado ng gobyerno ang kanilang year-end bonus (YEB) at cash gift (CG).
Sa kalatas na ipinalabas ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM), sinabi nito na makaaasa ang mga empleyado ng gobyerno na makatatanggap sila ng YEB na katumbas ng “one month” ng kanilang basic pay “as of Oct. 31” kasama ang CG na P5,000.
“This is a well-deserved symbol of appreciation for our government workers, our heroes, who give their all for the country— those who walk the extra mile and spend longer work hours out of their sheer sense of public service,” ayon kay Budget Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman.
“This is in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. to ensure that our government workers are given these rightful tokens for all their sacrifices that are greatly contributing to the reactivation of our economy,” ayon pa rin sa Kalihim.
Ang mga karapat-dapat na tumanggap ng YEB at CG ay iyong mga public servants na nakakompleto ng ‘minimum’ na apat na buwan ng serbisyo mula Enero 1 hanggang Oktubre 31, 2023 at patuloy na nagtatrabaho sa gobyerno.
Sa kaso naman ng national government agencies (NGAs), naglaan ang DBM ng P45.3 billion para sa YEB ng civilian personnel at P15.2 billion para sa military o uniformed personnel.
Samantala, P8.9 billion naman ang inilaan para sa CG ng mahigit sa 1.7 million civilian at military at uniformed personnel sa NGAs.
“The appropriations for the YEB and the CG were already comprehensively released to the NGAs concerned at the start of the fiscal year,” ayon sa DBM.
Samantala, pinaalalahanan naman ni Pangandaman ang mga empleyado ng gobyerno na gamitin ang kanilang bonus ng tama at gastusin lamang ito sa kanilang mga pangangailangan at hindi sa luho lamang.
“Alam ko marami sa inyo na excited matanggap ang bonus ninyo, pero sana huwag natin kalimutang gamitin ito ng tama. Spend it wisely, and invest it on things and needs that truly matter. Unahin ninyo ang mga kailangan kaysa luho lang,” ayon sa Kalihim. Kris Jose
