MANILA, Philippines – Nagpasalamat si Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian sa 22 ospital at pharmaceutical firms, medical suppliers at distributors ng assistive devices sa pakikipagtulungan sa ahensya para palawakin ang maaabot ng guarantee letters.
“Through this collaboration, we continue to be channels of hope for those going through traumatic and crippling situations, aiding them with vital support so they can cope and get through their crises,” mensahe ni Gatchalian kasabay ng signing ceremony sa DSWD central office sa Quezon City nitong Sabado, Agosto 23.
Ang DSWD ay nag-iisyu ng GLs para matulungan ang mga indigent na pasyente na makakuha ng serbisyong medikal sa pagsisiguro sa mga service providerna babayaran ng pamahalaan ang lahat ng mga magagastos para sa pagpapagamot ng publiko.
Sa ilalim ng kasunduan, maaari nang makakuha ng serbisyo ang mga benepisyaryo ng Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program mula sa partner-institutions gamit ang inisyung GLs ng DSWD.
“Thank you for all the services you are committing to provide to our clients in DSWD. We look forward to working with you as we serve our fellow Filipinos,” sinabi ni Gatchalian sa mga representative ng iba’t ibang partner mula sa pribadong sektor at pamahalaan.
Anang DSWD chief, sa unang bahagi ng 2025 ay nakapagbigay na ang AICS program ng suporta sa mahigit 6.2 milyong indibidwal.
Upang mas mapabuti pa ang serbisyo, sinisimulan din ng DSWD ang automation ng AICS na sasakop sa dispensing at billing processes kung saan makikinabang ang mga kliyente ng AICS at partner institutions.
“Our objective is not only to facilitate swift and convenient service dispensing through our clients’ handheld devices, but also to ensure timely bill payments, so that we can pay you on time,” ani Gatchalian.
Kabilang sa partner-hospitals ay ang Allied Care Experts Medical Center Mandaluyong at Valenzuela, Asian Hospital and Medical Center, Commonwealth Hospital and Medical Center, Manila Doctors Hospital, Medical Center Manila, Philippine Children’s Medical Center, Philippine Orthopedic Center, at Valenzuela Medical Center.
Samantala, ang pharmaceutical industry partners naman ng ahensy ay ang CGD Medical Depot Inc., E Chi’mes Pharmaceutical Inc., Generika Drugstore, GetMeds Philippines Inc., Jackpharma, Inc., MG Health Solutions, Vital Health Pharmaceutical Corporation at 2MG Inc.
Pinalakas din ng DSWD ang support services sa pag-uugnay sa mga kliyente sa therapy at learning centers katulad ng Grow Center for Therapy and Learning Programs at Leap of Grace Learning Center; at implant distributors Basemed Kare Inc. at OrthoHub Philippines Corp.
