MANILA, Philippines – Inanunsyo ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Makati City na 23 barangay sa lungsod ang makakakuha ng karagdagang P10 milyong bahagi sa basic real property tax collection.
Sa pahayag, sinabi ni Mayor Abby Binay na kinumpirma na ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) ang average increase na 6.20% sa kanilang final National Tax Allotment (NTA) allocations para sa 2024.
“As expected, the exclusion of the 10 EMBO barangays has resulted in bigger allocations for each of the 23 remaining barangays from the city’s basic RPT collections and the NTA. I am exhorting all barangay leaders in the city to ensure that these added resources will be optimized for innovative, high-impact programs and services aligned with Makati’s vision of an inclusive, sustainable and resilient future,” sinabi ni Binay.
Batay sa Chapter 7, Section 271 (b) ng Local Government Code, 70% ng mga makukuha sa basic RPT collections ay mapupunta sa general fund ng lungsod habang 30% naman ang ipamamahagi sa component barangays ng lungsod kung saan matatagpuan ang mga ari-arian.
Anang alkalde, nalampasan ng lungsod ang 2023 revenue target ng 39%, o P24,870,228,884.28 noong Disyembre 31.
Karamihan sa kita ay nagmula sa business tax na may P12,534,245,251.42, o 37% increase noong 2022. RNT/JGC
