MANILA, Philippines- Inaresto ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang isang puganteng South Korean na wanted ng mga awtoridad sa Seoul dahil sa pagkakasangkot sa isang telecommunications fraud.
Ayon kay Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco, inaresto si Lee Seul Ki, 37, sa loob ng kanyang condominium unit sa Clark Freeport Zone, Angeles City ng mga operatiba ng BI fugitive search unit (FSU).
Si Lee ay inaresto sa bisa ng mission order na inisyu ng Tansingco sa kahilingan ng gobyerno ng South Korea.
“We will send him back to Korea after our board of commissioners has issued the order for his summary deportation. We will then include him in our blacklist to prevent him from re-entering the Philippines,” ayon sa BI chief.
Base sa database travel ni Lee, dumating ito sa bansa noong Mayo 26, 2016 subalit hindi na ito umalis simula noon.
Ayon sa BI-Interpol, si Lee ay may arrest warrant na inisyu ng central district prosecutor’s office sa Seoul at Nambu district court noong Peb. 17, 2017.
Si Lee ay inakusahan ng miyembro ng isang voice phishing syndicate na nagpapanggap na police officer o financial advisor na siyang tumatawag sa kanyang mga biktima kung saan nakukuha ang kanilang mga personal bank data, at dahil dito ay nagagawa niyang mailipat ang pera ng mga biktima sa kanyang sariling bank account kung saan kumitq ito ng mahigit 178 million won o US$130,000.
