MANILA, Philippines – Sinabi ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) nitong Sabado, Hulyo 20 na ipapasa na ng ahensya ang 2025 National Expenditure Program (NEP) sa Kongreso sa Hulyo 29.
“We will submit it on July 29 sa House of Representatives,” ayon kay DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman.
“Almost a trillion pesos ang mapupunta sa education sector natin,” dagdag pa niya.
“Infrastructure development, we will continue to invest on that, 5-6 percent of GDP.”
Makaaasa umano ang agriculture sector ng “double-digit increases” sa kanilang badyet.
“We will still provide a big chunk of the budget for health response,” ani Pangandaman.
Nauna nang sinabi ng DBM na ang proposed 2025 national budget ay itinakda sa P6.35-trillion, o 10.1 percent na mas mataas sa badyet ng bansa ngayong taon.
Ang 2025 budget “will build on the gains from the first two years of the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and continue to usher in economic and social transformation for a prosperous, inclusive, and resilient society,” saad sa press release na inilabas ng DBM. RNT/JGC
