MANILA, Philippines – Inatasan ni Education Secretary Sonny Angara ang executive committee ng Department of Education (DepEd) na bumuo ng task force na magsusuri at mag-aaral sa implementasyon ng Results-Based Performance Management System (RBPMS).
Ayon sa DepEd, ang RBMPS review sa school level para sa School Year (SY) 2024-2025 ay layon na “streamline, improve, and simplify its processes and requirements.”
“Bubuo tayo ng isang task force upang araling simplehan at papadaliin ang requirement na ito,” saad sa pahayag ni Angara.
“Klaro ang utos ng ating Civil Service Commission na kailangan ang mga ganitong klaseng evaluation process,” dagdag pa niya.
Nitong Lunes, sinabi ni Angara na ipag-uutos niya ang suspension ng pagpasa ng mga dokumento ng mga guro sa ilalim ng RBPMS.
Sa kaparehong araw ay pinirmahan niya ang memorandum na nagpapalawig ng deadline sa pagpasa para sa SY 2023-2024 performance ratings hanggang sa Setyembre 2024, kasabay ng pagpapahinto sa implementasyon ng RBPMS sa lahat ng school-based personnel para sa SY 2024-2025.
Sa ilalim ng memorandum, ang RPMS submission para sa SY 2023-2024 ay iuurong sa Setyembre 15, para sa performance review at evaluation, habang ang performance rewarding at development planning ay sa Setyembre 30.
“The adjustment was set to avoid consequences and possible grounds for disqualifications from monetary and non-monetary performance-related incentives such as step increments, training opportunities, promotion, and educational support among others,” saad ng ahensya.
Para sa SY 2024-2025, lahat ng RBPMS-related activities sa school level ay ihihinto “until further notice.” Kabilang dito ang performance planning and commitment, monitoring, assessment, at evaluation ng school at individual personnel.
Ang hakbang na ito ani Angara, ay makatutulong sa mga teaching at non-teaching personnel na tumutok sa paghahanda sa pagbubukas ng klase sa Hulyo 29.
Sa kabila nito, ang implementasyon ng RBPMS sa non-school based personnel sa DepEd central office, regional offices, at schools division offices ngayong taon ay tuloy ayon sa itinakda. RNT/JGC
