MANILA, Philippines – Sinimulan na ng Department of Justice (DOJ) ang pagkakaloob ng survivorship benefits sa mga kwalipikadong pamilya ng mga pumanaw na retiradong piskal.
Iniulat ng DOJ na sa unang batch ay may 25 qualified beneficiaries ang tatangap ng benepisyo hanggang July 31.
Ang pagkakaloob ng benepisyo ay batay sa Republic Act 11643 o Act Granting Survivorship Benefits to the Surviving Legitimate Spouse and Dependent Children of a Deceased Retired Member of the National Prosecution Service (NPS) and Appropriating Funds Therefor.
Ang Implementing Rules and Regulation (IRR) ay pinirmahan noong October 2023.
Layunin nito na bigyan parangal ang mga yumaong piskal na nagkaloob ng kanilang oras noong nabubuhay para mataguyod ang justice system.
