“Siargao is a tropical paradise known for its quality surfing, which includes the Cloud 9 break, regarded as one of the best waves in the world,” pahayag ng Lonely Planet. “Surfers can take a boat out to Rock Island or Daku, or ride the left reef break at Stimpy’s.”

Sinundan ito ng Amed sa Bali, Cao Bang, Vietnam; Khao Sok National Park, Thailand; Luang Prabang, Laos; Penang, Malaysia; at Gili Air, Indonesia.

Samantala, ikinagalak ni Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco ang pagkilala ng Lonely Planet sa Siargao.

“The acknowledgment given to Siargao is a victory for the island and its peoples and a proud moment for the entire country,” giit ng opisyal. “This underscores the growing global appreciation for the Philippines’ diverse and breathtaking landscapes, the richness of our culture, and the warmth and love of our people.”

“This achievement motivates us to continue our efforts in promoting sustainable tourism and preserving the natural wonders of our beautiful archipelago.”
