MANILA, Philippines – Sinabi ng Intergovernmental Relations Body (IGRB) nitong Miyerkules, Hulyo 31 na hindi maaaring pumalya ang peace agreement sa pagitan ng pamahalaan at ng Bangsamoro government dahil tinitingala ito ng buong mundo bilang halimbawa ng kapayapaan.
Sa turnover ng ikatlong progress report at kauna-unahan sa ilalim ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., sinabi ni IGRB co-chair at Department of Budget and Management (DBM) secretary Amenah Pangandaman na ang kapayapaan sa Bangsamoro ay isang world ssue.
Ang IGRB ay inatasan na makipag-ugnayan at resolbahin ang mga isyu sa pagitan ng national government at Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
“As we turn over our third progress report, I want to emphasize that the success of BARMM is not only a matter of concern for BARMM Region, but also a top priority of the Philippine government as we want to ensure lasting peace and economic development in Mindanao,” ani Pangandaman.
“In fact, beyond being a matter of national interest, the success of BARMM is also a world issue because the world is looking to BARMM to be the shining example of peace. Hence, I must emphasize that we cannot fail,” dagdag pa niya. RNT/JGC
