MANILA, Philippines – Manunumpa bilang bagong kalihim ng Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) si Cavite Gov. Jonvic Remulla ngayong araw, Oktubre 8, sinabi ng kanyang kapatid na si Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla.
Nang tanungin kung ang kanyang kapatid na ba ang susunod na magiging interior secretary, sagot ni Remulla na, “I think so.”
“[He’s] scheduled to have an oath taking tomorrow. Tomorrow morning. In fact, I think he’s withdrawing from candidacy as we speak,” pagbabahagi ni Remulla sa isang panayam.
Ipinaubaya na ni Jonvic Remulla ang anunsyo kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Wala pang tugon ang Malacañang kaugnay sa susunod na mamumuno sa DILG.
Matatandaan na nagbitiw sa pwesto si Benhur Abalos para sumabak sa pagka-senador sa 2025 national at local elections.
Ani Remulla, ang appointment ng kanyang kapatid ay magpapabuti ng justice system.
Ito ay dahil ang Justice Sector Coordinating Council (JSCC), ay binubuo ng DILG, Department of Justice, at Supreme Court.
“The commitments can be made instantly because the two of us can always talk about what has to be done. Mas maganda ang coordination niyan,” sinabi ni Remulla.
“Like minds, tsaka I think that we only want the best for the country. Wala tayong ibang motive dito,” dagdag pa niya.
“Siguro yung training nung police with the prosecutors, siguro ma accelerate pa namin. We would be able to accelerate the training of police and prosecutors so the regime of justice will reign supreme,” pagpapatuloy nito. RNT/JGC
