MANILA, Philippines- Ginawaran ng parangal na Rafael M. Salas Kaunlarang Pantao Award ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) mula sa Commission on Population and Development (CPD) para sa maayos na pagpapakita nito ng responsible parenthood sa household-beneficiaries ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
Kaugnay nito, tinanggap ni DSWD Undersecretary Vilma Cabrera ng National Household Targeting System and 4Ps ang plaque of recognition sa ginanap na CPD Recognition of Population and Development (POPDEV) Partners and National CPD Brand nitong November 27.
Nabigyan ng parangal ang DSWD para sa Kaunlarang Pantao Award dahil na rin sa maayos na pagbibigay ng suporta sa Philippine Population and Development Plan of Action Goals (PPD-POA) 2023–2028, partikular na sa integrasyon ng Responsible Parenthood and Family Planning (RPFP) program para sa family development session (FDS).
Sa kanyang mensahe, sinabi ni Undersecretary Cabrera ang pasasalamat ng DSWD kasabay ng pagsasabing pagtitibayin pa ng ahensya ang mga programa nito para sa sustainable development.
“The DSWD, through the 4Ps, fully understands the critical role of population dynamics in shaping our nation’s future,” sabi ni Undersecretary Cabrera.
Dagdag pa niya: “We at the DSWD, are resolute in our commitment to closely work with the CPD and other stakeholders, ensuring our programs align seamlessly with the PPD-POA.”
Sabi pa ni Undersecretary Cabrera pinalakas ng 4Ps ang integration ng RPFP sa pagitan ng 2014 at 2016 sa pamamagitan ng paglalagay ng National Advisory Council (NAC) Resolution na may mandato na padaluhin ang mga mag-asawa sa sessions upang mabigyan ito ng gabay ukol sa family planning.
