MANILA, Philippines – Ipinangako ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) na higpitan ang kampanya laban sa mga “tempo” transport network vehicle services (TNVS) na walang tamang prangkisa o provisional authority.
Ani LTFRB Chair Vigor Mendoza II, magde-deploy ng mas maraming mystery riders upang imbestigahan ang mga reklamo.
“What is even more concerning is that the TNCs are allegedly condoning the illegal activity by including the TNVS in their online service apps even without the proper permits from the LTFRB,” wika niya.
Nagbabala siya ng “severe consequences” kung mapatunayan ang paglabag at hinikayat ang mga transport network companies na tiyaking may awtorisasyon ang lahat ng kanilang driver partners.
Nangako rin si Mendoza na pabilisin ang pagproseso ng mga pending TNVS franchise applications at ihihinto ang issuance ng temporary permits, na ayon sa ilang grupo ay nagdudulot ng korapsyon.
