Ito ang hamon ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa mga suspek na nananatiling ‘at large’ kabilang na si dating House of Representatives appropriations committee chairperson at nagbitiw na si Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Zaldy Co na may kasong kinahaharap na may kaugnayan sa maanomalyang flood control project sa Oriental Mindoro.
Sa isang video na naka-post sa kanyang social media account, araw ng Lunes, Nobyembre 24, inanunsyo ni Pangulong Marcos na nasa kustodiya na ng mga awtoridad ang ilan sa 16 na suspek sa kasong isinampa sa Sandiganbayan.
“To all the accused still at large, I advise you to surrender now. Don’t wait to be chased after. It’s better for your situation to surrender now so that you can answer to the allegations against you,” ayon kay Pangulong Marcos.
“To those who plan on helping them hide, remember that you will also be held accountable somehow,” dagdag na wika nito
Sa kabilang dako, sa joint press conference ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine National Police (PNP), Department of Justice (DOJ), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) at Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ipinakita ang mugshots na tumutukoy sa mga suspek na nasa kustodiya gaya nina:

Nananatili namang ‘at large’ si Co, ayon sa mga awtoridad.
Huling nakita si Co sa Japan bago pa ipalabas ang arrest warrant laban sa kanya.
Sinabi naman ni DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla
na may tatlong suspek ang sinasabing nasa ibang bansa.

“Save for Zaldy Co, the other members believed to be abroad have made contact with our law enforcement agencies and are expected to show up at the embassy and begin immediate repatriation towards the Philippines,” ayon kay Remulla.

“Surrender to the nearest authorities, surrender to the nearest police station. For the sake of your families, for the sake of the country, surrender immediately,” ang hamon ni Remulla sa mga suspek.
“No matter where you are in the world, we will find you. If you are at large, we will find you. If you are hiding in the Philippines, we will find you,” diing pahayag nito. KRIS JOSE
