MANILA, Philippines – Inihayag ni House Majority Leader Ilocos Norte 1st district Rep. Sandro Marcos ang kahandaang humarap sa imbestigasyon ng Independent Commission on Infrastructure (ICI).
“Let me state this clearly and without hesitation: I am wiling to appear before the Commission at any time. I welcome the opportunity to shed light on any matter that may assist your review.” saad ni Rep. Marcos sa isang sulat para kay ICI Chairman at retired Supreme Court (SC) associate justice Andres Reyes Jr.
Ang liham ay minarkahan na natanggap ng ICI nitong 8:56 a.m. Huwebes, Nob. 27.
“Regardless of position and who you are, no one is above the law. Given that I have nothing to hide, I hereby submit myself for investigation by the ICI at their earliest convenience,” ayon sa Facebook post ni Rep. Marcos kasabay ng pag post nito ng isinumiteng liham sa ICI.
Ginawa ni Rep. Marcos ang anunsyo dalawang araw lamang matapos siyang akusahan ng dating Ako-Bicol Party-list na kinatawan na si Zaldy Co na mayroong naipon na P50.938 bilyong halaga ng mga insertion ng proyekto sa 2023, 2024, at 2025 na pambansang badyet.
“I extend my full respect to the work of the Independent Commission on Infrastructure and its efforts to uncover the truth behind the ongoing investigation on flood control projects,” aniya. “I stand ready to cooperate, answer questions, and provide any clarification needed to move this investigation forward.
