MANILA, Philippines – NAKIUSAP si Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla sa lahat ng mga filipino sa buong mundo na kung makita ng mga ito si dating Ako Bicol representative Zaldy Co ay mangyaring piktyuran, padala kaagad, i-post kaagad sa internet para may ideya ang gobyerno kung nasaan ito.
Sa press briefing sa Malakanyang, sinabi ni Remulla na sa ngayon kasi, ang hinala nila ay nasa Portugal si Zaldy Co at doon naninirahan.
“Zaldy Co is believed to be in Europe, suspected to be in Portugal. He is suspected to have a Portuguese passport acquired so many years ago. Iyon lang ang details,” ayon kay Remulla.
At sa tanong kung may golden visa si Zaldy Co, ang tugon ni Remulla ay bahala na ang Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) na sumagot sa bagay na ito, hindi aniya ang DILG.
“The DFA is the best person to answer,” aniya pa rin.
Sa kabilang dako, inamin ni Remulla na may group effort sa paghuli kay Zaldy Co.
“It is a whole-of-government approach to get Zaldy Co. DFA, the DILG, the Ombudsman, the DOJ are all working together in order to get a satisfying outcome into the repatriation of Zaldy Co back to the Philippines. To what those measures are, I cannot speak of yet but I think when it comes to repatriation, DFA should be the lead. Sila dapat ang magsabi kung anong gagawin,” ang pahayag ng Kalihim. Kris Jose
