MANILA, Philippines – Hinikayat ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang mga Filipino na kumuha ng lakas mula sa buhay ng Blessed Virgin Mary sa pagtatatag ng bansa na maglalagay sa Diyos sa sentro nito at itaguyod at pagtibayin ang dignidad ng bawat pinoy.
Ipinahayag ito blng Pangulo kasabay ng isinasagawang pagdiriwang ng bansa sa Feast of the Immaculate Conception.
“Let us draw strength from her life as we continue building a nation that places God at its center and upholds the dignity of every Filipino,” ang sinabi ng Pangulo sa kanyang mensahe.
“On this sacred day, we turn our gaze to Mary, whose life began entirely in God’s favor. Preserved from sin from the very first moment of her existence, she was able to offer her ‘yes’ to God with complete freedom and love. In Mary, the Church sees not a distant figure, but a Mother who journeys with us—interceding, guiding, and showing us what it truly means to belong to God wholeheartedly,” dagdag na wika nito.
Hinikayat din ng Chief Executive ang publiko na tingnan ang Blessed Virgin Mary bilang halimbawa ng “kadalisayan, debosyon at walang sawang pananampalataya tungkol sa Isang buhay na nag-ugat sa pagpapala at hangarin.
“As we honor the Blessed Virgin Mary, may her example of purity, devotion, and unwavering faith inspire us to lead lives anchored in grace and purpose,” ayon sa Pangulo.
“Through her intercession, may our leaders be guided by wisdom and discernment, our institutions purified at the root, and our people united in hope,” dagdag na wika nito.
Tinuran pa ng Pangulo na ang pagdiriwang ay imbitasyon para sa repleksyon at isang paalala na “the way we begin matters.”
“Our intentions shape our outcomes, and the spirit in which we start a mission influences the fruit it bears,” ayon sa Punong Ehekutibo.
“If we sow pride, we reap division; if we sow deceit, we reap distrust. But if we begin with truth, humility, and compassion for the least among us, we can build a more just and peaceful Bagong Pilipinas: a nation where integrity, service, and the common good guide our every action,” aniya pa rin
Ang Kapistahan ng Immaculate Conception at Isang Catholic holiday na ipinagdiriwang taun-taon, tuwing Disyembre 8.
Ang pagdiriwang ay nagsimula sa isang papal encyclical ni Pope Pius IX, pormal na itinuring at ipinaliwanag ang dogma ng Immaculate Conception, Ineffabilis Deus, noong December 8, 1854. (KRIS JOSE)
