MANILA, Philippines – Arestado ang isang 27-anyos na lalaki sa entrapment operation sa umano’y illegal na pagbebenta ng mga paputok sa Toril Public Market sa Toril, Davao City nitong Lunes, Disyembre 29, sa kabila ng firecracker ban ng lungsod.
Inilunsad ng mga awtoridad ang operasyon matapos mamonitor ang pagbebenta ng ipinagbabawal na pyrotechnic devices sa lugar.
Nakuha mula sa suspek ang ilang illegal na paputok.
Mahaharap ang suspek sa reklamong paglabag sa Davao Firecracker Ban Ordinance at Republic Act 7183 o An Act Regulating the Sale, Manufacture, Distribution and Use of Firecrackers and other Pyrotechnic Devices.
“We strongly remind everyone that the use, sale, and possession of illegal firecrackers are prohibited and we will continue to strictly enforce the law. Davao City is a No-firecracker zone pursuant to City Ordinance 060-02, so everybody is prohibited to use, possess, or sell any firecrackers or pyrotechnic devices while in the City,” pahayag ni Police Station 8 Commander, Major Sheryl Bautista.
