MANILA, Philippines — Inaasahang tataas ang presyo ng mga produktong petrolyo sa susunod na linggo, ayon sa Department of Energy (DOE) nitong Biyernes.
Batay sa apat na araw na Mean of Platts Singapore (MOPS) trading, tinatayang magtataas ng humigit-kumulang ₱1.10 kada litro ang gasolina, ₱0.50 ang diesel, at ₱0.90 ang kerosene.
Ayon kay DOE-Oil Industry Management Bureau assistant director Rodela Romero, dulot ang inaasahang pagtaas ng mga kaganapan sa pagitan ng Estados Unidos at Iran.
“Crude lacks direction as market looks to US-Iran talks held yesterday, February 26 in Geneva. This was the 3rd round of talks made by the two countries,” aniya.
“Still, US sanctions 12 more tankers transporting Iranian crude and continues its massive military build up in the Middle East region. These contributed to the upward direction in the prices of petroleum products,” dagdag pa niya.
Sinabi ni Romero na ang pinal na adjustments ay matutukoy matapos ang MOPS trading ngayong Biyernes at maisama ang operating costs at iba pang premiums ng mga kompanya ng langis.
