MANILA, Philippines – Kinilala at binati ng mga kongresista ang pamumuno ni House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III sa pagsasara ng First Regular Session ng 20th Congress sa pamamagitan ng pagpapasa ng isang resolusyon dahil sa “stewardship and consensus-driven leadership” nito.
Inaprubahan ng Kamara bago ito mag-adjourned sine die ang House Resolution No. 1093 na inihain nina House Majority Leader Ferdinand Alexander “Sandro” A. Marcos at Minority Leader Marcelino “Nonoy” Libanan, dahil sa produktibong pangunguna ni Dy.
“Speaker Dy assumed the stewardship of the House of Representatives during a critical juncture of the Twentieth Congress, stepping into the Speakership with a profound sense of duty, steadiness of hand, and an unwavering commitment to parliamentary solidarity and institutional continuity,” ayon sa resolusyon.
Sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Dy ay nakapag-proseso at natalakay ng Kamara ang may 10,809 legislative measures, kabilang ang 9,695 na panukala at 1,114 an resoslusyon.
Sa panukalang ito ay naging ganap na batas, ang isa dito ay nakatakdang lagdaan ng pangulo dalawa naman ang naisalang sa bicameral conference committee na ngayon ay naratipikahan na, 222 ang naaprubahan panukala at naghihintay na lamang ng pagpayag ng Senado. Meron ding 114 na naipasang resolusyon.
Binanggit din sa resolusyon ang mga panukalang kabilang sa Common Legislative Agenda ng Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC) gaya ng Anti-Political Dynasty Act, National Land Use Act, Waste-to-Energy Act, pag-amienda sa Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, reporma sa Energy Regulatory Commission at ang panukala ukol sa expanded educational assistance.
Maging ang resolusyong nag-aakyat sa Senado ng House Resolution No. 989 na naglalaman ng Articles of Impeachment laban kay Vice President Sara Z. Duterte ay nabanggit din sa resolusyon.
“Under the dignified and consensus-driven leadership of the Honorable Speaker Faustino ‘Bojie’ G. Dy III during the First Regular Session of the Twentieth Congress, the House of Representatives distinguished itself as a responsive, efficient, and cohesive institution, successfully traversing complex socio-economic priorities and enacting landmark measures essential to national progress,” dagdag pa rin sa resolusyon.
