MANILA, Philippines – Arestado na ang dating police official na si Rafael Dumlao, na convicted kaugnay sa 2016 kidnapping at pagpatay sa South Korean businessman na si Jee Ick Joo, sa Quezon City nitong Martes ng umaga, Hunyo 9 ayon kay Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla.
Sa press briefing, sinabi ni Remulla na isinilbi ng mga operatiba ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang warrant of arrest laban kay Dumlao bandang alas-5 ng umaga sa isang bahay sa Pasong Tamo, Quezon City.
“Today, June 9, 2026, at around 5 o’clock a.m., operatives of the PNP successfully arrested Police Lieutenant Colonel Rafael Dumlao. He was arrested in a house in Pasong Tamo, Quezon City pursuant to a warrant of arrest issued by the court,” aniya.
Si Dumlao ay natanggal sa serbisyo noong 2018.
Hinatulan si Dumlao kaugnay sa kidnapping, extortion, carnapping, at pagpatay kay Jee Ick Joo, isang Koreanong negosyante na dinukot at pinatay sa loob mismo ng Camp Crame noong Oktubre 2016. RNT/JGC
