MANILA, Philippines – PINURI ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang Presidential Security Command (PSC) para sa hindi matatawarang dedikasyon nito sa pagprotekta sa First Family at sa papel nito na panindigan at pagtibayin ang pambansang katatagan.
“For over the century, the PSC has now served as a security arm of the presidency, protecting not only the Office of the President, but also the institutions that keep our democracy strong and our Republic stable,” ang sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos sa isinagawang 128th anniversary celebration ng PSC sa Malacañan Park sa Maynila.
Kinilala ng Pangulo ang sakripisyo ng elite unit para mapanatili ang pinakamataas na antas ng seguridad para sa Pangulo at sa bansa.
Pinasalamatan ni Pangulong Marcos ang PSC para sa pagpapanatili ng mga pinaigting na mga hakbang na naglalayong pigilan ang mga banta , itrato ito (banta) bilang usapin ng national security.
“Of course, I want to acknowledge what that presence cost you. While we sleep soundly in our beds at night, you are awake, missing precious time with your loved ones, working to ensure that my family and I remain safe. And that is a sacrifice that I take seriously, and one that I carry with deep gratitude,” ayon sa Pangulo.
“So, thank you for not only protecting me, but protecting the institution I represent, and in doing so, the Filipino people that we all serve. So, you are not only protecting the physical being of the First Family. You are protecting the stability of the Republic,” ang sinabi pa rin ng Chief Executive.
Sa kabilang dako, binigyang diin naman ng Pangulo ang kahalagahan ng papel ng PSC sa pagharap sa pabago-bagong security challenges.
“That is how important your job is. And that is how important the job it is that you do, and that you do so very well, and so very professionally,” ang tinuran ng Pangulo.
Ang PSC, dating kilala bilang Presidential Security Group, ay isang premier protective unit na may atas na tiyakin ang physical security at kaligtasan ng Pangulo ng Pilipinas, First Family, at mga institusyon ng Republika sa Palasyo ng Malakanyang. KRIS JOSE
