MANILA, Philippines – Aabutin ng dalawang araw ang medical checkups ni Senador Rodante Marcoleta na bahagi ng booking procedures nito, ayon kay Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla nitong Lunes, Hulyo 6.
Sa ngayon ay mananatili si Marcoleta sa Philippine National Police General Hospital para sa medical examinations.
Sa briefing kasunod ng pag-iisyu ng arrest warrant ng Sandiganbayan para sa plunder case, sinabi ni Remulla na sumasailalim ang senador sa medical checkup sa Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) sa Camp Crame, Quezon City.
Ani Remulla, sa edad ni Marcoleta ay sasailalim ito sa iba’t ibang pagsusuri katulad ng blood pressure at electrocardiogram (ECG), “to ensure his fitness.”
“We don’t know when that will be completed, but hopefully, within the next two days all their examinations will be completed for full health, which we will report to the Sandiganbayan,” ayon kay Remulla.
“Don’t rush us. Give us time to get the full picture of his health.”
Ilalabas din sa kaparehong araw ang mugshots ni Marcoleta.
“We are not here to humiliate anyone. Whatever the condition of his hair, we will not be ashamed. His picture will be taken as is as he appears in public,” sinabi ni Remulla.
Matapos ang booking procedures ni Marcoleta sa CIDG ay ibabalik ito sa Sandiganbayan para sa pagbabalik ng wrrant bago ipasa sa New Quezon City Jail sa Payatas, Quezon City. RNT/JGC
