24 LEDAC priority bills, inilatag ni Gatchalian sa Senado

MANILA, Philippines – Sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon na dumalo sa Legislative- Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC), inilatag ni Senate President Sherwin Gatchalian ang ilang priority bills ng Palasyo na kailangan maipasa sa 20^th Congress.

Sa pahayag, sinabi ni Gatchalian, nanguna sa delegasyon ng Senado sa LEDAC na ginanap sa Palasyo, kasama ang pangunahing opisyal ng administrasyon at Mababang Kapulungan sa pamumuno ni House Speaker Faustino Dy, ikinasa ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos ang priority bills sa ika-apat na pulong.

Ayon kay Gatchalian, 24 priority bills ang inihain ng Palasyo sa Kongreso na kinabibilangan ng mga sumusunod:

1.     Anti-Political Dynasty Law;

2.     Party-List System Reform Act;

3.     People’s Freedom of Information/Right to Information Act;

4.     Amendments to the Bank Deposits Secrecy Law, or the BRIGHT Act;

5.     Philippine Budgeting Code;

6.     Promoting Growth, Revenue, and Equity Towards Socio-Economic Sustainability (PROGRESS) Bill;

7.     General Tax Amnesty, including Estate Tax Amnesty;

8.     Travel Tax Abolition;

9.     Amendments to the Coconut Farmers and Industry Trust Fund Act;

10.  Amendments to the Fisheries Code;

11.  Amendments to the Electric Power Industry Reform Act (EPIRA), including the abolition of system loss charges and the strengthening of the Energy Regulatory Commission; the Sariling Kuryente Act;

12.  Waste-to-Energy Bill or Waste Treatment Technology Act;

13.  Masustansyang Pagkain para sa Batang Pilipino Act, or the Expanded National Nutrition Program Act;

14.  Classroom-Building Acceleration Program Act;

15.  Amendments to the Government Assistance to Students and Teachers in Private Education (GASTPE) Act;

16.  Amendments to the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act;

17.  Presidential Merit Scholarship Program;

18.  National Coordinating Council for Education (NCCE) Act;

19.  Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials Act, or the Child Online Safety and Protection Act;

20.  National Center for Geriatric Health Act;

21.  Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) Act;

22.  Amendments to the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Act;

23.  National Reintegration Law or Bagong Balikbayan Act; and

24.  Amendments to the National Building Code.
