MANILA, Philippines – Nakumpleto na ang pag-imprenta ng mahigit 400,000 official ballots para sa August 29 special polls sa Fourth Legislative District ng Dasmariñas City sa Cavite, ayon sa Commission on Elections.
“Printing has been completed. We have achieved 100% completion, with a total of 447,387 official ballots,” saad sa pahayag ni Comelec Chairperson George Garcia.
“The next things to do are sheeting, cutting, and stitching,” dagdag pa.
Ang printing ay nagsimula noong Biyernes sa National Printing Office sa Quezon City.
Idaraos ang special polls upang punan ang nabakanteng pwesto ni Francisco Barzaga Jr., na inalis sa opisina noong Hunyo dahil sa “disorderly behavior, conduct unbecoming of a member, and violations of the House [of Representatives] Code of Conduct.”
Limang kandidato ang tumatakbo para sa bakanteng pwesto, ito ay sina Raul Rex Mangubat, Marvin Dupal-ag, Leysander Ordenes, Jacinto Frani Jr., at ina ni Barzaga na si incumbenr Dasmariñas City Mayor Jennifer Barzaga. RNT/JGC
