COLOMBIA – Nasa 111 katao ang nasawi matapos tumama ang malakas na lindol sa Colombia nitong Lunes, Agosto 10.
Dahil dito ay maraming mga gusali ang napabagsak na ikinasugat naman ng 87 pang indibidwal at marami pa ang mga na-trap sa guho.
“The national government has all of its capabilities deployed to protect lives, assist affected communities and deliver aid wherever it is needed,” sinabi ni Colombia President Abelardo De La Espriella na ilang araw pa lamang matapos manumpa bilang bagong pangulo.
“The first priority is rescuing the people trapped under the rubble.”
Ayon sa US Geological Survey, tumama ang magnitude 7.4 na lindol at may lalim na 107 kilometro malapit sa San Jose del Palmar, Choco na isang mataong probinsya sa Pacific Coast ng Colombia. RNT/JGC
