MANILA, Philippines – Tikom ang bibig ng Malakanyang kaugnay sa ulat na di umano’y nag-request si Vice President Sara Duterte ng ‘private meeting’ kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Sinabi ni Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary at Palace Press Officer Claire Castro na palaging bukas si Pangulong Marcos na makipag-usap sa kahit na kaninuman na nais na magkaroon ng dayalogo sa kanya.
Gayunman, sinabi ni Castro na wala siyang personal knowledge ukol sa nasabing report.
Sa kabilang dako, hindi naman makumpirma o maitanggi ng Office of the Vice President (OVP) ang bagay na ito.
“We cannot confirm anything regarding that, as no information has been relayed to us about whether such an event is actually taking place. So, for now, we have nothing to confirm,” ani Castro.
Tinawag na isang “hypothetical question,” sinagot din ni Castro ang tanong kung handa ba si Pangulong Marcos na makausap si VP Sara sakali nga’t may request ang huli na private meeting sa Chief Executive.
“The president stated in his very first podcast that he is open to dialogue with anyone, including those who might disagree with him, to foster a better understanding,” ang tugon ni Castro.
“This is not directed specifically to the vice president, to avoid any further misinterpretation or misunderstanding regarding the responses given today,” aniya pa rin. (KRIS JOSE)
