“It is unacceptable that a person who has been seeking asylum is detained without a clear reason. Our government should be able to help expedite his release as soon as possible,” sabi ni Hontiveros.
Ayon sa senadora, naiparating na niya ang kaso ni Mark kina Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel “Babes” Romualdez, US Ambassador to the Philippines Lee Lipton, at Philippine Consul General in Los Angeles Adel Cruz.
“The government had already failed to protect Percy’s life. The least we can do now is ensure that our citizens are safe wherever they are in the world,” dagdag ni Hontiveros.
“The Mabasa family has endured enough. It is exactly four years since Ka Percy was killed, but instead of receiving justice, they are made to suffer again. We should not retraumatize a family that has already lost so much. Ernie Reyes
