BATANGAS, Philippines – Naaresto sa Batangas ang isang Amerikanong lalaki, 27, dahil sa umano’y detensyon at pagpilit sa mga Filipina na mag-livestream ng sexual activities para sa kita, ayon sa PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG).
Ayon kay ACG Director Brig. Gen. Wilson Asueta, nahuli ang suspek sa Nasugbu noong Enero 30 sa ilalim ng search warrant. Ang operasyon ay bunga ng reklamo ng isang biktima na nakatakas noong Disyembre 22 at nag-report sa pulis noong Enero 5.
“They start on dating apps, then, if he gets the woman’s trust, he would invite her to meet up, and he would give her an offer to work as a ‘model,’” ani Asueta.
Ang biktima at pitong iba pa ay pinilit mag-perform sa livestreaming platform para sa virtual tokens, humigit-kumulang P7,000 bawat livestream. “They are just forced because they are afraid. They’re afraid of him. Their minds were conditioned. So, there was a threat to them,” dagdag niya.
Lahat ng pitong iba pang biktima, na edad 18–20, ay nailigtas at isinailalim sa social welfare office. Ayon sa ACG, ginagawa umano ito ng Amerikano sa loob ng halos isang taon.
Ang suspek ay nakapiit sa ACG facility sa Camp Crame, kasunod ang imbestigasyon para sa paglabag sa RA 9208 (Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act) at RA 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act). Nakikipag-ugnayan rin ang ACG sa Bureau of Immigration at US Embassy. RNT/MND
