MANILA, Philippines – Isang blue notice ang inilabas ng Interpol laban kay dating Ako Bicol Party-list Representative at House Appropriations Committee chairman Zaldy Co na nahaharap sa mga kaso kaugnay ng umano’y maanomalyang flood control projects, sinabi ni Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla nitong Lunes.
“The [Interpol] blue notice is out. Now that we have…the arrest warrant, the red notice can be out and we will further determine kung nasaan talaga siya,” sabi ni Remulla sa isang press conference.
Ayon sa Interpol, ang isang blue notice ay para sa pangongolekta ng karagdagang impormasyon tungkol sa pagkakakilanlan, lokasyon, o mga aktibidad ng isang tao na may kaugnayan sa isang pagsisiyasat sa krimen.
“We believe he is traveling with another passport. We do not know if he is using another name. Bini-verify pa namin,” saad ni Remulla.
“Ang hula lang namin, reportedly, he has another passport that he is using,” sagot niya nang tanungin kung gumagamit si Co ng non-Philippine passport.
Sinabi ni Remulla na hindi bababa sa 8 sa 16 na indibidwal na inakusahan ng pagkakasangkot sa anomalya sa pagkontrol sa baha ay nasa kustodiya ng National Bureau of Investigation noong Lunes ng umaga.
Aniya, ang dalawa sa mga akusado na sina Sunwest executives Aderma Angelie Alcazar at Cesar Buenaventura ay pinaniniwalaang nasa New Zealand at New York, ayon sa pagkakasunod. Samantala, si Montrexis Tamayo ng DPWH ay hinihinalang nasa Jordan.
“Save for Zaldy Co, the other members who are believed to be abroad have made contact with our law enforcement agencies and are expected to show up at the embassy and begin immediate repatriation towards the Philippines,” ani pa niya. RNT/MND
