MANILA, Philippines – Nagpaabot ng buong suporta si Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. kasunod ng pagkakabuwag umano ng UniTeam matapos na magbitiw sa pwesto bilang DepEd secretary si Vice President Sara Duterte.
Ang deklarasyon ay kasunod ng 36th Joint Meeting of the United Nations (UN) Tourism Commission for East Asia and the Pacific at UN Tourism Commission for South Asia sa Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort sa Lapu-Lapu City nitong Biyernes, Hunyo 28.
Sa welcome remarks, sinabi ni Garcia na nagdesisyon siya at ang mga kaalyado nito na patuloy na suportahan si Marcos.
“And as we did in 2022, Mr. President, we stand firmly behind you in full support for the man who called for unity. Here we are one island, one province, and one Cebu,” aniya.
Sa kabila nito, kapansin-pansin na hindi binanggit sa speech ni Garcia si Duterte. RNT/JGC
