COMMISSION on Filipinos Overseas Secretary Dante ‘Klink’ Ang II has announced that the agency is now fully operating in its new office in Pasay City.

Located at the 9th Floor, Nexgen Tower, C-4 Road, EDSA Extension, the CFO has been conducting its Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar, Guidance and Counseling Program, and other services in its new office, Ang said.

Pre-registered participants have also been advised to proceed to the new office of CFO, the government agency that caters to permanent and long-term migrants.

“We’ll do what we can to make it more convenient both for our constituents and our workforce during the transition period,” said CFO chief while justifying the need to transfer to its new place from its former Quezon City office.

Ang reiterated that the transfer of office was aimed at bringing its services closer to Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Department of Foreign Affairs and various foreign embassies located in Pasay and its neighboring cities of Makati and Manila.

“Here at CFO, we put our constituents first. We make sure that our primary consideration in big decisions like this is providing greater convenience for Filipino emigrants.”

“We’re hoping this move leads to more extension offices to make our services more accessible to outbound Filipinos across the country,” he added.

Its service desks are also available at NAIA Terminal 1 and 2 that cater to individuals exempt from the PDOS such as persons with disability, senior citizens, and minors aged 12 and below.

Moreover, the former boss and Chief Executive Officer of the oldest English broadsheet in the country – The Manila Times – said that Filipino migrants in Mindanao can also now access the CFO services more easily as it opens its registration to clients in its newest extension office in Cagayan de Oro City.

It’s located at the 5th Floor, SM CDO Downtown, Claro M. Recto Avenue, Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental.

The CDO extension office is the latest in CFO’s network of regional offices, following Cebu, Davao, and Baguio, and will cater to clients from Region IX (Zamboanga Peninsula), Region X (Northern Mindanao), and Region XIII (CARAGA).

Between 2014 and 2023, these regions registered 29,701 emigrants, 1,666 au pairs, and 4,487 J-1 visa holders through the commission, the top CFO official said.
