MANILA, Philippines- Nagbabala ang Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) nitong Martes sa publiko laban sa bagong phishing scam na nagpapanggap na bahagi ng Globe Telecom Inc. (Globe) reward points program.
Sa abiso, sinabi ni CICC Executive Director Alexander Ramos na ang domain, globeeph.top ay nambibiktima ng users sa pamamagitan ng short message service (SMS).
Narito ang kabuuang text ng scam: “The globe points service reminds you that your current points account (3,022 points) will expire today. Redeem your points as soon as possible: https://globeeph.top/i Please reply Y then exit SMS, open the SMS to activate the link again, or copy the link to the Safari browser and open it.”
Kapag nasundan na ng mobile users ang link, hihingan sila ng mga personal na detalye at bank account numbers upang makuha ang kanilang points.
“There is nothing to cause for alarm, but as part of the protocol, we have recommended the blocking of the domain to avoid victimizing more customers,” ani Ramos.
Binalaan niya ang publiko na huwag mag-click ng anumang link mula sa unofficial sources upang maiwasang ma-scam.
Maaaring sumangguni ang mga biktima ng phishing sa Inter-Agency Response Center sa pamamagitan ng pagtawag sa 1326. RNT/SA
