Dating disbursing officer ng OVP idineklarang ‘hostile witness’ ng Senate impeachment court

MANILA, Philippines – Idineklara ni Presiding Officer Sen. Chiz Escudero bilang hostile witness si dating Office of the Vice President (OVP) Special Disbursing Officer Gina Acosta sa pagpapatuloy ng impeachment trial ni Vice President Sara Duterte ngayong Lunes, Agosto 17, 2026.

“The court hereby declares the witness to be a hostile witness under and in accordance with Rule 132, Section 13,” sinabi ni Escudero sa pagpapatuloy ng impeachment trial.

“However, for the information of the senator-judges and the public, and councils as well, this only gives Atty. Ligutan the right to ask leading questions—still not allowed to ask misleading questions. As I know, Atty. Ligutan is well aware of the distinction,” dagdag pa nito. RNT/JGC
