MANILA, Philippines- Nagbabala si Senator Imee Marcos nitong Biyernes sa People’s Initiative for Reform Modernization and Action (Pirma) at hinikayat ang mga ito na magsumite ng listahan ng contributors na nagbayad para sa kontrobersyal na P55 milyong television advertisement na “Edsa-pwera.”
“I believe you need to remind your client — very strongly – about the donations list that constituted the P55 million for the television ad. Nothing has been submitted so far, and I enjoin you to submit these requirements from the Minority Leader Pimentel at the earliest possible opportunity,” ani Marcos sa mga abogado ng Pirma sa hearing ng Senate committee on electoral reforms and people’s participation nitong Biyernes.
Kasunod ang babala ni ng pagkumpirma ni Pirma lead convenor Noel Oñate na gumastos ng P55 milyon para sa kontrobersyal na Edsa-pwera commercial na ikinagulat ng mga manonood.
Ani Oñate, nagmula ang malaking halaga sa sarili niyang bulsa, subalit inamin din na halos kalahati ay mula sa contributors.
Sa nakaraang hearing, hiniling nina Senators Chiz Escudero at Marcos na magsumite ng listahan ng donors, subalit sinabi ni Oñate na kailangan muna niyang konsultahin ang contributors kung payag silang isapubliko ang kanilang mga pangalan. RNT/SA
