MANILA, Philippines – Siniguro ng Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) na sapat ang suplay ng bottled water sa kabila ng paparating na banta ng El Nino.
“There is no need to hoard,” saad sa pahayag ng DTI.
Anang ahensya, “intensify price monitoring and continue to coordinate closely with manufacturers and distributors to ensure a steady supply in the market.”
Tutugunan din nito ang mga reklamo sa overpricing ng plastic drums, water container at iba pang mga kagamitan na may kinalaman dito.
Nagpaalala naman ang DTI sa mga nagbebenta na “act responsibly and refrain from taking advantage of the situation through unjustified price increases.”
“The Department will not hesitate to impose the appropriate fines, penalties, and other sanctions against those found to be violating applicable laws and regulation,” dagdag pa. RNT/JGC
